Since 2007, the Makers’ Market has consistently delivered original merchandise, fresh food and a great environment to see old friends and make some new ones while supporting the local economy and our arts community. We also have indoor holiday markets, popup shops in other neighbourhoods and participate in other street events such as Supercrawl.

2. Hamilton World Music Festival

The Hamilton World Music Festival 2017 brings high caliber, professional quality world music artists to the Hamilton stage, including local, Canadian and international artists on tour. We know that music and the arts are meeting points that cross all cultures – just as contemporary world music itself often crosses genres and cultures. By taking a multidimensional approach and by choosing artists at the local, national and international levels, we hope to foster connections between our audiences and community and the rest of the world as well as recognize the diverse cultural landscape of Canada and Hamilton itself.
Admission is Free!
Parking at the festival is $5 or PWYC. All proceeds support Festival programming

3. Hamilton Fringe Festival
When: July 20-30th, 2017
Where: Lincoln Alexander Centre, 160 King St E, Hamilton, ON
As 2017 is the FOURTEENTH anniversary, the festival will run from July 20-30th. Accessible, playful, and engaging the Hamilton Fringe Festival is an action-packed performance event that takes place over 11 days each July in downtown Hamilton. With more than 40 companies offering up musicals, dance, comedies, magic shows, dramas, and family entertainment in more than 300 performances- there truly is something for everyone!

4. Teddy Bear's Picnic
When: Aug 13, 2017 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Where: WHITEHERN HISTORIC HOUSE & GARDEN - 41 Jackson St. West, Hamilton, L8P 1L3
If you go down to the woods today...children will enjoy old-fashioned games, a teddy bear parade and a teddy bear hospital. Don't forget to bring your own teddy bear to join in on the fun.
Ages: 3 to 7 years.
Free outdoor event. Regular admission rates apply to the museum.
